In the late sixth century, future pope Gregory the Great observed the fair-haired Anglo-Saxon people and remarked them as “Not Angles, but angels!” He sought out and attained their eventual conversion to Christianity.
Far greater than most did these folk lay the foundations for the Western world as it would become. The Land of the Angles, or “England”, was founded by them and their progeny would go on to develop the “Empire Upon Which The Sun Never Sets”, Great Britain, bringing to light Canada, Australia and the United States.
These prominent nations are the product of the Germanic Anglo-Saxon forebears, our forefathers. Their contributions paved the way for our culture, present day legal systems and freedom-valuing civilization.
Long live and may God bless the Anglo-Saxon!
